We have an exciting opportunity for a BI Analyst to work at our head office in Normanton, Wakefield.

Principal Responsibilities

• Support the various group functions with the production & analysis of data.
• Deliver analytical marketing activity to support the commercial objectives of the Company.
• Deliver analysis, reporting and insight that is relevant to the continued growth and operation of the group.
• Analyse and report on marketing effectiveness.

Key Performance Indicators

• Meet deadlines and quality of output for weekly, monthly and quarterly internal reports.
• Meet deadlines and quality of output for all customer meeting data and presentation inputs.
• Ensure that all core products have key ROI data associated to each product and commercial proposition.
• Manage and prioritise the workload to match the business demands.
• Provide insight into business and market operations through ad-hoc creation of Power BI dashboards / reports.

• Support the retention and growth of all customers, buyers and sellers.

Detailed Tasks

Support various group function with the production & analysis of data
• Work with the Senior BI Analyst to develop a strategic plan that delivers analytical data for the Company, seeking input from relevant stakeholders and completing delegated tasks when required.
• Carry out trend analysis and data trawling for the Company in a way that allows for the production of high-quality reporting & MI to support the business in achieving its goals & shows a strong ROI.

Deliver analytical marketing activity to support the commercial objectives of the Company
• Provide a strong support function for Sales team helping them to optimise their outputs.
• Assess market data, including competitors, to identify areas where the Company can increase its sales.
• Design, scope and create key reports and presentations to enable the Company to monitor performance and make management decisions.
• Design, scope and create key reports and presentations for use with customers.
• Use existing sales data and market trends to develop forecasts and projections.
• Undertake data segmentation as required.
• Create and maintain customer peer group tables.
• Create and maintain relevant buyer reporting.
• Support formal tender responses.
• Support the production of market reports.
• Produce reports to track progress against targets.
• Provide information and data to the wider sales team to aid customer retention and growth.
• Deal with email/phone enquiries and directing as appropriate.
• Communicate well & keep all relevant stakeholders informed of vendor-related issues.
• Assist with internal commercial forecasting.

Analyse and report on marketing effectiveness
• Collecting/analysing data, executing tests, identifying trends and insights to achieve maximum ROI of marketing campaigns.
• Tracking, reporting and analysing website analytics for SEM initiatives and campaigns.
• Creating, categorising and refining keywords to implement successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management.
• Use data and market intelligence to generate new ad ideas to enhance results.
• Researching and analysing competitors.

Required Skills and Experience Required Personal Attributes

• Proven experience of BI analyst role within a similar environment
• Previous experience of Power BI dashboard creation.
• Previous experience of Power Apps (Power Query, Power Automate)
• Previous experience of Qlik Sense scripting and dashboard creation desirable but not essential.
• Data analysis skills
• Presentation skills – writing and delivering
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Strong organisation skills and a high level of accuracy of work
• Organisation and time management skills, be able to work at pace
• Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent written skills
• High level IT literacy in all core Microsoft programmes and database management
