Opened in January 2019, the Wakefield car auctions centre is an 18-acre site, equipped to handle high-volume used car sales. It features twin auction halls, state-of-the-art digital bidding facilities, fully enclosed undercover viewing for 200 vehicles, as well as a customer restaurant.
In addition to being the auction hub for car sales in Wakefield and throughout the North, the facility houses several key functions. It's the base for our Marketing, Buyer Services, Digital Solutions, Finance and HR.
It's also ideally located within the Normanton Industrial Estate. This is within easy reach of the M1, M62 and A1, making it an easily accessible site in the region.

Auction Centre Manager
Mark has worked in the automotive industry for four decades. He started as a trade sales assistant, then quickly progressed to group disposal manager in charge of the trade vehicle preparation centre. He also trained in dent repair technicians - there's not much Mark can't do! Mark has worked for other great businesses such as BMW and Manheim, all in managerial roles, before joining Aston Barclay in June 2020. He's now back to his roots, in vehicle marketing.
