A Year of Insightful Conversations: Celebrating the Success of "Lead the Charge" Interviews

2024 has been an exciting year for the Lead the Charge interview series, where we’ve had the privilege of speaking with industry leaders and innovators helping to shapw the future of electric vehicles (EVs). Over the course of the year, we’ve explored a wide range of topics from the latest in EV technology to sustainable transport solutions, offering valuable insights for both professionals and enthusiasts alike.

A Year of Expert Insights

We kicked off the year with Lorna McAtear, Head of Fleet at National Grid, who shared her expertise on integrating EVs into large scale operations. Yann Marston from Char.gy followed with a discussion on innovative on street charging solutions for EV owners without off street parking which is crucial for expanding EV accessibility. We also spoke with Tim Aylen from Vital EV Solutions, who provided valuable perspectives on the evolving world of fast charging technology and the infrastructure required to meet the growing demand for EVs.

In addition to infrastructure, we’ve looked at sustainability with Mark Hammond from Net Zero Group, who offered strategies for reducing carbon footprints within the EV sector. Alex Roberts from GRIDSERVE shared insights on how the company is improving the EV customer experience with ultra rapid chargers, making EV ownership more convenient and accessible.

Diving Into the Future of EVs

Our conversations didn’t stop there. Alex Johns from Altelium explained the importance of battery testing for ensuring longevity and performance in EVs. We also heard from Charlie Fraser at Octopus Electric Vehicles, who spoke about community engagement and initiatives promoting EV adoption.

In one of our most insightful interviews, Joseph Walters from Energy Saving Trust explored the role of government incentives in driving EV adoption. We also wrapped up the year with Jordan Marsden, known as The EV Guy, who shared his expertise on the future of EV ownership and the trends reshaping the automotive landscape.
