VAT Claim for Export
The Process:
Claims for vehicles purchased from any Aston Barclay site should be emailed either to our designated inbox or you can send physical copies to our postal address below. All documents must be sent to us in PDF form.

Requirements:
All documents must be dated within 3 months from time of supply (The earliest of; payment date or date the vehicle left site), if this is not the case the claim will be rejected.
For each Vehicle:
- Aston Barclay invoice attached.
- Proof of export attached - SAD or Bill of Lading.
- Additional proof attached - Shipping invoice or Export Accompanying Document.
Company Information:
- Evidence of being a foreign national - Certificate of Incorporation or (if trading as an individual) a copy of the owner’s passport.
- Proof of VAT registration - A document from Irish Revenue.
- Bank details on company letterhead - Signed by Owner/Director.
Charges:
Only the VAT on the purchase price of the vehicle is refundable, the VAT on our fees is not refundable as they are a service provided in the UK.
An administration fee will be deducted from the total VAT amount:
- STANDARD - 7% Charge of the total VAT amount (We aim to refund your account within 28 working days from when we receive all required documents).
- FAST TRACK – 10% Charge of the total VAT amount (Refund within 7 working days from when we receive all required documents).
We will only refund the company/individual that we have invoiced.

Please note as we are closed over the Christmas period, all claims received after Friday 20th December 2024 will be processed from Thursday 2nd January 2025.
